Tackle Prostate Cancer is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Steve Allen as Acting Chair, following the recent departure of Ken Mastris. Steve was appointed as a Trustee in February 2022 and was voted into the position of Acting Chair by the Board of Trustees on the 4th of March 2022. Over the last 5 years, Steve has actively supported the aims of Tackle and been a voice for patients across the UK as our patient representative at various steering committees and working groups. We are delighted to have him on board as a Trustee and to play a pivotal role as Chair in the interim to drive our renewed strategy.

On his appointment, Steve says, “I look to the future with equal levels of excitement and trepidation! There is so much more that we still have to do to increase the support for people living with prostate cancer and their families. There are far too many people that have a valuable contribution to make to the prostate cancer community, but whose voices are not yet heard and I am determined to ensure Tackle is there to offer a platform to raise their voice.”
