Five stories of resilience, connection and hope.
In each film, we go behind the scenes to hear the realities of living with prostate cancer while starting, running, or attending a support group. Through honest conversations, we listen to those who have found connection, reassurance, and understanding through speaking openly about their experiences.
The films explore the many forms peer support can take – whether through a coffee and a chat, a walk and talk, or a WhatsApp group – while challenging the misconception that support groups are intimidating or depressing spaces. Instead, they reveal places of openness, humour, comfort, and solidarity.
As these stories show, there are many people – or faces – affected by prostate cancer, but when people come together to talk, listen, and support one another, a powerful sense of hope and community can emerge.
In this film, we stroll alongside the members of the North Devon Prostate Cancer Support Group, and hear how the power of walking can help ease the noise of a prostate cancer diagnosis.
