An interactive session to help you create a safe space in your support group for sharing and approaching challenging thoughts and feelings.

Please join us for this interactive session, including delivered content, discussion and exercises, aimed at maximising your ability to create a space in your local support group that is safe enough for people to share what is going on for them - to 'approach' challenging thoughts and feelings, rather than avoid them - in the interests of everyone being able to get, and give, as much as possible from your group .

This session has been funded through the National Lottery 2020-2023

Lunch, snacks and tea and coffee will be supplied. All travel expenses will be paid (on submission of an expense claim and receipts) . We will pay standard rail travel, or mileage at 45p a mile.

Join us for an exciting online event with Professor Hashim Ahmed, the Chief Investigator of the TRANSFORM trial.

This will be a great chance for you to hear more about what the study is hoping to achieve and how soon it might make a difference to prostate cancer screening in the UK. You will also learn more on how support groups can help encourage people to participate in the study.

What is TRANSFORM

The TRANSFORM trial is a £42 million research programme recently launched by Prostate Cancer UK.

The trial will set out to find the best way to screen men for prostate cancer. It will be the biggest trial in prostate cancer screening for 20 years and has been developed in consultation and with the backing of the NHS, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the UK Government.
